Inspired by the vibrant culture of the city Cotacachi in the Northern Andes in Ecuador, this tribal design blanket bears the same name. The Fire Edition of the Cotacachi blanket is all at once bold and earthy with vibrant red and orange, muddy yellow, and beautiful bright cream color to contrast with all the deep colors. The red hues represent the planet earth and the strength and fire of women. The traditional Ecuadorian-inspired design is a beautiful addition to any room or office with Southwestern decor. Made with recycled textile fibers (80% acrylic), wool (15%), and alpaca wool (5%), this handmade blanket is as warm and cozy as it is stylish.

Description

Description

Ecuadane’s blankets are characterized by their ultra-soft quality and generous size. The blankets are made by Ecuadorian Otavaleños with the greatest respect for the enviroment who mainlyuse recycled textile fibres and the softest alpaca wool. We offer a lifetime warranty on all blankets.

Description 2

The desire to share the unique, hand-weaved products with the rest of the world was great, but we also saw it as an interesting opportunity to combine the traditional South American design with the simple Nordic style. It was also crucial that all production should have the greatest respect for the environment and that all textiles should consist mainly of recycled textile fibres.

Description 3

We discovered the Everywhere Blanket in Otavalo while on an adventure to the 4,630m-high Imbabura Volcano, a journey that traverses the equator into the southern hemisphere. We were drawn to the blanket as it stood out from the other magnificent textiles in the marketplace because we could immediately see something special in the details; a higher level of artisanship and quality.

We really enjoy the blanket. Is the organization to help the Ecuadorians faith based or is it totally humanitarian?

Hi, Scott! Our mission is mainly humanitarian—to help share, promote, and protect the people and culture of Otavalo. But we believe that God calls all of us to love and serve others in any and every way that we can.
